Would John Wayne have been a good choice to lead a Golden Age-era Expendables ? What's the best episode of King of the Hill ? Are direct-to-video films banned from Oscar consideration? All this and more covered this week in Ask 411 Movies!

Dix was at the Bash a few years ago. I was working security at one point near his table where he was signing autographs with his wife. When he didn't have anyone at his table he would run outside for a quick smoke and I would have to let him back in because the door locked from the inside. He was very nice. When anyone would come up to his table for an autograph he would stand up and introduce himself and his wife and shake the person's hand. I leaned over to him at one point and said, "you don't have to tell people you're Bob Dix, they know you're Bob Dix it's why they're standing in front of you." He laughed and squeezed my shoulder. One of the more irreverent elements of the King of the Hill was jazz musician Chuck Mangione (who I've seen in concert) popping up randomly through the series. On several occasions he was seen as a spokesman for Mega Lo Mart, even being involved in a store explosion with Hank, Luanne and her then boyfriend Buckley at one point. The whole Mangione storyline came to a head with the 2003 episode "Megalo Dale." The local Mega Lo Mart has a rat problem and Hank suggests exterminator Dale to take care of it. Topher Grace and Danny Masterson voice two teenagers who harass Dale and make fun of him for thinking Mangione is the cause of the problem by wearing Mangione masks. Turns out he is, as Dale finds Mangione living in the store and living off of food from the shelves. Mangione is dissatisfied with his oppressive spokesperson contract and is rebelling against the store while hiding from them. Dale refuses to ‘rat' Mangione out at the end of the episode and pins the disturbance on the kids. Ben Bocquelet was made the head of the Cartoon Network Development Studio Europe in 2007. Cartoon Network asked for pitches from all employees. Bocquelet took rejected characters he had made for commercial pitches and put them in a school setting. The main character is an adventure seeking cat as middle school student who has a crush on an antlered peanut.

And my biggest pet peeve: figure things out well ahead of any of the adults. Bad movie, by the head of Bad Robot. Possibly the most disappointed I've been by a film in several years. Gotta disagree (respectfully) with your take on Star Trek.
