Purchased to replace the top 95. This car had the original Bose powered system. `Was pretty good at the time. Heard in the car of a friend and was blown. These speakers are powered by a JVC head unit @ 50W per speaker and its amazing. It took time for them to cope with 3-band equalizer. Once I did they ROCK! The only thing I would add another car would be a 10 "sub to help the low end. It has generous premium. A good sub with a mono amp would make the entire system. Do not hesitate to buy .A guy heard these at the installation location and told him to buy on Amazon. It will replace some of the Alpines and keep its sub. I want to hear the system when done.

I've always been skeptical about JBL modest, but after consuming my friends headphones JBL Damn I was nice, so I chose to give the car speakers at once. Of course, the price seems high but modest JBL is also a well-known brand. I chose to share the speakers because the speakers on my car stock is not the best, so I bought these speakers to replace those at the back first.I have a 08 Honda Civic was a modest hard to install these speakers, but again I'm not really an intelligent person so it may be easier for others. Long story small so terrible these boys are better than stock, I would not recommend, but if you want their full potential and you will need to amp installed. Oh .... & One thing I was a little disappointing was that JBL does NOT include any type of screws so you will need to have the screws, nuts and bolts to install the speakers.Overall, the speakers sound better than stock, so if you know that JBL I do not you hesitate to get them.
